National Enquirer has an exclusive article in its December 8th issue reporting that Marg and Alan have split. We consider it a rumor until it is officially confirmed, but you can read part of the article online on National Enquirer‘s website here if you are interested.

CSI Star Walks Out on Long Time Husband
CSI star Marg Helgenberger celebrated her 50th birthday with a very special gift to herself — her own home!
The Emmy-winning actress — who plays forensic investigator Catherine Willows on CBS’ hit drama — has moved out of the house she shared with her longtime husband, actor Alan Rosenberg, to begin a new life, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.
“Marg hasn’t been happy for a long time, and as 50 approached she finally told Alan she wanted to start the second half of her life alone,” a close family friend told The ENQUIRER.
The strawberry blonde actress – who turned 50 on Nov. 16 – and Alan, 56, have been married since 1989. They have a son who turned 18 on Oct. 21.
“But both she and Alan love their son, and want to minimize any trauma the split would have on him. They’re excellent parents, but they just came to the decision that their lives together were no longer working.”

Please remember that it remains a rumor until it is officially confirmed.

If i will be honest i’m not surprised too much. I mean Marg and Alan were great couple and i’m sure they’ve spent lovely time but i’ve always thought that Marg is too attractive and hot and with all those men around who must be crazy about her … well the rob is though is she seeing someone else? And if yes who’s the lucky one?
Anyway but i still believe that this is just a rumor.

I don’t know. The Enquirer is notorious for starting rumors and giving false alarms, and the Rosenbergs were never in tabloids. So I’m rather reserved about this. A new home isn’t news since we already knew they had bought a new house which has been renovated for months. Also, this could be related to the SAG/AMPTP chaos. Just my two cents.

OMG I dont know man I think its a rumor . Because I remember reading in an article that she said she and Alan loved each other very much and that he still made her laugh and stuff IDK but like I dont know and the whole think about her not being happy God that makes me feel bad .

HOLY.CRAP.
Marg and Alan aren’t types who are tabloid magnets–they’re private and they keep to themselves, trying to live as normal as possible. But it makes you think, you know? Why would the enquirer suddenly burst out with this one? Aside from all the SGA/AMPTP thing, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them on the Enquirer. Say it’s for Alan being in SGA and all the drama and it’s Hollywood politics, who knows? But I’ve always believed they’re a happy couple. I still do. I mean, they’re my fave couple in Hollywood that actually made it. I don’t want to believe it. If this is true, then I will be VERY sad. They’re good together, like a REAL love story. I am hoping this is trash. I want them to last and I want Marg happy, I mean, if she’s happy away from him then okay, but you know, I always loved seeing them together. A house is probably just a house. Bored people just make up crap for the hell of it anyway or they spin things to make life just a little less boring.
I’d be really sad if this was true and Marg hasn’t been happy. I wish her and Alan the best.

I don’t want to think this, but I really don’t think this is a rumor. The National Enquirer isn’t the most prestigious news rag, but sometimes they do catch right, good stories. And to pick on someone as obscure as Marg on the Hollywood front to poke fun at when they could choose to write the 7 millionth Brad and Angie split up story…is rather odd…
Idk, it’s none of our business and all…and I just hope that Marg ends up happy whatever way it is.
Arie Says:
I am not surprised since last year in the photo’s Marg was getting older very fast. Now the reason comes out. Unhappy life makes you look older. Her face was smaller I think.
JO Says:
I’m totally shocked omg!!! If this is true I wish Marg all the best and happiness in the world and the same for Alan and Hugh. The last time she was talking about her marriage she said she and Alan were good and they were working on their new home so……….But the story suddenly appearing on National E makes you wonder. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
