Marg At Roma Fiction Fest 2010, Day 4

RomaRictionFest 2010 had its CSI screening last night. As we informed you, Marg attended the event. She showed up in a baby blue dress and a pair of light beige Jimmy Choo heels with a blue Jimmy Choo purse in her hand — the exact outfit she was wearing when she visited “The View” and the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this April — looking stunning as always. Here are a couple of photos for you to enjoy. We will update the gallery and this post if something new shows up.

Living In Rome‘s Deborah wrote a report on the screening and shared a new video with us:

Having already seen her generosity towards fans on the orange carpet on opening night, yesterday we saw her extend that generosity to an entire room – she looked absolutely radiant, gave long and considered answers to numerous questions from the public, all the while smiling, posing for photographs and making eye contact with individual members of the audience. She clearly loves to connect with people and succeeds brilliantly at it!

Please go to Living In Rome for full article, and here is Deborah’s video:

Again, thanks a lot to Deborah for sharing the awesome experience!

Here are two more video clips from the same Q&A session uploaded by Proiezioni Mentali. Enjoy!

Featured Video; July 2010

This month we’re recommending an excellent China Beach video, “Toy Soldiers”, made by Michele. We hope you enjoy the amazing work.

  • Title: Toy Soldiers (watch video)
  • Creator: Michele
  • Song: “Toy Soldiers” by Martika
  • Subject: China Beach
  • Time: 2005

Anne’s Review:

It’s a credit to this video that everytime I hear this song now, I ALWAYS have this video running through my head. The song is perfect for the wartime era of China Beach, and the angst in the song matches the angst from the show beautifully. It’s very much a team video — you get to see the cast of China Beach, not just Marg as KC, but of course there’s still plenty of Marg. :)

I’ve always loved the scene in China Beach that Michele has used at 0.33 of the entire crew playing baseball in the rain on Independence Day. It was a great piece of fun in what would have been unbelievably difficult circumstances.

If you’ve never seen China Beach, this is a great introduction to what the show is all about. 1.03 is amazing, with Dodger (Jeff Kober) walking through the cemetery and the line of boots from the soldiers that were killed at China Beach. And if the clip after that of KC letting her daughter Karen get away from Saigon doesn’t make your heart ache, nothing will. 2.29 with KC comforting Boonie is just…also heartbreakingly tender. And of course 3.15 when KC sees Karen for the first time since she sent her away from Saigon to Boonie is also heartbreaking.

That being said, any of the times Marg smiles in it are just…stunning.

Ausiello Confirms Marg’s Return On CSI

Marg already revealed it in her recent Heart of Hollywood interview, but it’s still nice to see the news in a report. Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly has just confirmed Marg’s new CSI deal and said that other cast members including Jorja Fox are still negotiating their contracts while Liz Vassey won’t be back.

‘CSI’ Exclusive: Marg Helgenberger Is Staying!

by Michael Ausiello

Catherine Willows won’t be leaving Las Vegas anytime soon.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Marg Helgenberger has inked a new contract with CSI.

With Helgenberger’s deal done, the spotlight shifts to fellow CSI vets George Eads (Nick), Eric Szmanda (Greg), and Paul Guilfoyle (Jim), all of whom are negotiating new deals ahead of the show’s 11th season. Jorja Fox is also in talks to return in some capacity.

Liz Vassey, meanwhile, will not be back.

EDIT: Ausiello also confirmed that Eric Szmanda has signed a new CSI contract, too.

Marg At Roma Fiction Fest 2010, Day 1

RomaFictionFest 2010 opened in Rome, Italy last night. Guess who was there? Yep, our girl graced the “orange” carpet at the fest looking incredibly stunning. We’ve got you a few photos from the orange carpet and will update the album whenever new pics roll in.

Furthermore, Oceanic6Luca has uploaded two video clips of Marg taken at the orange carpet. She is so adorable! You can watch the videos by clicking the links below:

Living in Rome also has a report on the opening night, and the webmaster, Ms. Deborah Swain, describes Marg’s arrival as her highlight of the evening. :)

Jason Priestley is also in town to launch his new show Call Me Fitz and graciously stopped to sign an autograph, as did Kevin McKidd and Jim Caviezel (here to promote a remake of The Prisoner). My personal highlight of the evening, however, was the arrival of CSI:Las Vegas star Marg Helgenberger who spent time not only signing autographs, but also chatting with fans and thanking them for watching the show.

Thanks a lot to Ms. Swain for sharing her experience!

Marg Helgenberger: Humble, Sweet, Gorgeous, Talented

As we informed you yesterday, an interview with Marg was aired in Retro 1260 AM’s Heart of Hollywood earlier today. Marg and show host Joe Sutton talked about her high-school and college days, living in New York and doing soap opera (Ryan’s Hope), moving to Los Angeles, reuniting with Alan Rosenberg and doing China Beach, making movies (particularly Erin Brockovich), working on CSI, Catherine’s character development, Marg’s possible plans after CSI, her causes, etc. It was a long but great interview with interesting tidbits. As for the question that the fans are most interested in at the moment — whether Marg will be back on CSI for its 11th season, Mr. Sutton announced that we’ll still be seeing Catherine in season 11, but according to Marg’s own words, she will need to decide whether it’s going to be her last season or not about halfway through it.

Missed the interview? We got it for you.
